Our Goal
The IBM 3D Printed AI Weather Art project aims to reimagine how elderly individuals engage with technology — not through screens or apps, but through a tangible, artistic, voice-enabled device that blends function with familiarity.

Our goal is to design and build a beautiful, interactive art piece that:
-
Visualizes live weather data through motion or light
-
Reads out news highlights, podcasts, and music using speech-to-text and text-to-speech
-
Encourages daily interaction through a voice-controlled interface
-
Promotes positive habits like mindfulness, learning, and staying informed
Why It Matters
Many elderly people feel disconnected from the rapid pace of modern digital technology. Our project bridges that gap by creating something gentle, intuitive, and meaningful — powered by AI, but grounded in human-centered design.
By combining 3D-printed physical components, Raspberry Pi hardware, and IBM Watson AI services, we’re crafting a system that doesn't just tell the weather — it shows it, speaks it, and responds to your voice.
